5 Reasons Why We Love Football/Soccer ?

1. It is simple

Football/Soccer is a very easy sport to learn and play. Actually it comes by natural ( just want kick the ball ) ,once you start learning more it gets easier. Football/soccer involves you and the ball. There are other rules and some technicalities involved, with time, you would be able to understand them

2. The World Cup

World Cup brings a country together every four years. Even though there are other tournaments that your club can win, this is the one we are always hoping to capture.

The World Cup symbolizes that your country is one of the best at football/soccer in the world. It’s the number one thing to look forward to when it comes to sports, in my opinion. The World Cup’s outcome tells who is the best in the world.

If your team is the best in the world, you have been entitled to brag. World cup makes you feel somehow belong to something more than just your team

3. Pride

Pride for your team is sticking with them, no matter what happens. No matter if your team win or loss. Pride is not changing teams because that team has the highest chance of winning. Whatever it is, you show pride in your team by supporting them through good and bad times.

Even if your team had a bad season or performance in a game, you will always support that club.

4. Football/Soccer video games

There is a popular football/soccer video game called FIFA and PES. Most young soccer fans play this game.

Of course, it isn’t the best method of teaching how to play the sport, but it can help build the fan imagination for real games and skills

either you’re playing with a friend or someone you met online, it’s a great way to have fun and enjoy the best sport in the world.

5- Big Games and Great Players

Big games are one of the reasons why we watch soccer. It creates great debates and great fun. We’re always trying to find out who the superior team is, and we’re destined to be right.

Whether it’s Brazil against Argentina, Manchester United versus Manchester City or Real Madid versus Barcelona, we don’t want our team to lose. Not only that, but these big matches tend to be something special that everyone can enjoy. Especially games in which we have Lionel Messi versus Cristiano Ronaldo. Big games usually have big expectations.

Just loved your post, I really enjoyed the world cup i must say, coming from a country that is not big on soccer. but I seemed to be glued to the screen most of the time, even taking bets with the family to see who was going out next… he he
    keep up the good work
    Take care

  2. Hi Aly,

Great blog about football. I personally like to be in the big football stadiums. The atmosphere is really great and I usually place a bet to get even more excited. 😉

    Greetings,
    Bert

  3. Growing up in small town USA, I didn’t have much soccer influence around. I started to love soccer because of the FIFA video games, so I’m glad you mentioned that! Since then, I love the excitement of the World Cup and really get into watching that. I’m glad to see the popularity of MLS increasing each year as more people realize what a great sport it is!

    1. I agree that soccer influence start to increase at USA , and video games is really become a main factor even if you don’t have the chance to play soccer you can always play Video Games and have a lot of fun.

  4. This article says it all! I am not even from this country, but soon as I moved here, I got so hooked on football! My husband and I even join the pool we have at my work! But of course he knows more than me with the teams and players but I will surely catch up! Cannot wait for another great season!

    1. Thank Kris , football is always attract all people as it’s really fun game. what’s your favorite team or national team ?

  5. Ahmed, I’m a coach of youth soccer (football) and just have to add a few things.

At least where I live, going to a semi-professional game is great for the WHOLE family and really inexpensive. You don’t have to go see Manchester United or the NY Red Bulls to watch a great game and get really into it. You can see the semi-pro or junior teams for a fraction of the cost. Often it’s these levels in the game that are more family focused than anything, for after the games, the kids are allowed on the pitch and can go meet the players and sometimes even get to kick the ball with them. Amazing! When’s the last time an NHL team has ever done that or a MLB team – never.

    1. Thanks Dave for mention that , i know where you coming from and for sure soccer got this special atmosphere that you don’t need to be pro or watch pro to enjoy it. it’s mainly about having fun

  6. Hi Ahmed,
A great post. And that is why we do love football/soccer.
Although I didn’t play much myself when I was younger, the older I got the more I started to like and watch football.
The world cup is an amazing tournament to watch, whether your country is playing or not, there are always many great teams and great players to watch.
I am just pleased that the premier league has started again in England now. Lots of great games for me to watch every week.
    Thanks.
    Best wishes,
    Michael.

    1. Hi Michael , Sure Premier league is one of the most competitive leagues in the world . and i think that’s why we wait the world cup every four year to enjoy football/soccer
